Reedsport’s softball team is headed to the Class 2A playoffs after a 12-2 win over host Bandon on Tuesday.

The win by the Brave, combined with Waldport’s 8-7 loss to Siletz Valley, guaranteed second place for Reedsport. The Brave finish the regular season at Waldport on Thursday but are now two games ahead of the Irish in the standings.

Essie Cardoso went 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBIs for Reedsport in the win. Erin Sharp had a single and double, two runs and four RBIs.

Allison Hennick went 3-for-4 and drove in both Bandon runs. Lizzy Gallagher had a single and double and scored one of the runs.

Gold Beach 10, Myrtle Point 6: The Panthers scored four times in the seventh inning after Myrtle Point had rallied from a 6-0 deficit to tie the game.

Kayleanna Ridens had two hits, two runs and an RBI for the Panthers and Jade Piper and Brianna Seuser-Smith each scored two runs. Jenifer Risenhoover had a triple in the four-run seventh.

Harlee McMillan had four hits for the Bobcats in their final game of the season. Sierra Smith had two hits, including a triple, and scored twice. Abby Blount also had two hits and two runs.

La Pine 4, Couqille 0: The Hawks beat the Red Devils in the Mountain Valley Conference playoffs, ending Coquille’s season.
