Oregon Coast Podiatry LLC, a team coached by Kevin Dubisar, took first place in a year-ending tournament for teams in fourth through sixth grade for the Boys & Girls Club of Southwestern Oregon fall soccer program.

The team won the final 1-0 over Blanco in a shootout. Blanco was sponsored by Langlois Market and coached by Amanda Lewis.

Third place went to Salmon Ninjas, sponsored by Koonz Machine & Welding and Vend West and coached by Jacey Peterson. Pacific Properties, coached by Kevin Dubisar, was fourth and DB Western, coached by Amber Jackson and Shawn Aaron was fifth.

Boys & Girls Club officials extended thanks to all the players, spectators and volunteer coaches for all the grade levels in the fall season. Sportsmanship Awards

Sportsmanship and officials awards for soccer games played on Oct. 28, presented by the Bay Area Sportsman’s Association.

Sportsmanship Awards — First grade: Les Schwab (Reedsport), coached by Melanie Calderon. Third Grade: Lil’ Stinker 1, coached by Vicki Dubisar and Sherry Williams.

Officials Awards — Professional: John Burgmeier, Seth Terry and Isaac Reyna. Hustle: Aidan Nolan, Liam Trapold and Orlando Chaney.

Tennis Fundraiser

Tennis players will join forces on Saturday, Nov. 11, to raise funds and food for South Coast Food Share.

Youth players will convene on the William J. Sweet Memorial Tennis Center, part of the Boys & Girls Club of Southwestern Oregon, from 10 a.m. to noon. Coach Ian Bailey will conduct a workout and playing format.

All participants should bring a minimum of three non-perishable food items or contribute $10.

From 1 to 3 p.m., the adults will get to participate with the coach. A donation of $10 or a minimum of three non-perishable food items will be accepted.

Pickleball players will get their chance to contribute in an event from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18. A donation of $10 or a minimum of three food items will be accepted.
