ELKTON — A Florence woman died Saturday when her 2002 Nissan SUV left Highway 138W.
Leona Robb, 67, was driving the vehicle, and was the sole occupant, according to Capt. Tim Fox, public information officer for the Oregon State Police.
In a press release, Fox wrote that at about 2:40 a.m., the Reedsport Police Department received a report that another driver had seen "taillights in a ditch" in that area.
Police, fire and medical emergency personnel rushed to the scene.
They found her vehicle about 150 feet off the highway. She was the sole occupant in the SUV.
Capt. Fox wrote that she wasn't wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle.
According to the OSP, the investigation showed she wasn't conscious when her SUV ran off the highway.
