If you read “Orders To Kill” by Amy Knight, you will find why Russia must be kept in-check.
Another excellent book on Putin is “Man Without a Face” by Masha Gessen. His history indicates young Vladimir wanted to be the spy-master, and now he has control of all Russian spies, including those working in cyberspace. His power over life and death comes into play when he perceives someone is in his way of stealing Russia's money, disloyal, or damaging his reputation. It's obvious he is narcissistic and sadistic. The lucky victims are shot, but the ones he really hates get poisoned to make them suffer. Concerning lies and deception, President Trump is an amateur compared to Putin. Trump's lies are blatant and easily proven to be wrong; He has no control, and he can't stop lying. This makes him extremely vulnerable and weak. It's likely Putin has compromised Trump in some way, perhaps without his knowledge.
Presidents Putin and Trump are prideful and selfish. They lack empathy and maybe a conscience, too. The only rights they are interested in are their own, and their policies are proof. Kindness, sad events, true bravery, and loving people do not move them. Don't be fooled, often times these types learn the proper way to “act” as they age. In fact, no fear and flat emotions are what they really experience. There's one agenda, and it's I want what I want and I am not afraid to take it. These and a few other world leaders think when your opponent is down you beat them until they can never get up again. Putin said this out loud and you can bet Trump believes it, too.
We know Putin is our opponent, because he meddled in our elections. Trump still has barely said a bad word about him. Doesn't he get he wants to beat us until we can't get up? Instead of thinking he knows everything, he should study Putin's past behavior and listen to our intelligence resources. The president shouldn't be at odds with them or our state department. This recent poisoning caused Trump to join our allies in expelling some Russians, now he needs wise up about the person who ordered the poisoning. Do not think any book about Trump or Putin will have a happy ending. However, I believe, we can thrive not because of them but despite them!
