Just watched the National Veterans Day Ceremony on television. It is such a solemn, patriotic ceremony that means so much to so many people. This day is to celebrate all the veterans who have served, are alive today and have sacrificed and give so much.
Since my husband was a Navy veteran of World War II, I have a Marine veteran son, three grandsons in active military today (one Marine and two Air Force) and an Air Force veteran granddaughter, this means a lot to me.
Watched closely and didn't see anyone there take a knee while the National Anthem was playing, and that reminds me why I don't watch the NFL anymore. Not hard to understand why so many of us are disgusted with the lack of respect. Respect! Unfortunately, you don't see very much of that today, except for the military and older folks.
