Historical flashes: Oil-hungry Hitler applauds Persia for changing its name to Iran (Aryan Nation). Later, President Eisenhower “installs” a pro-western Shah, frustrating Soviet intentions for a warm-water port. In 1979, Ayatollah Khomeini leaves his hive in Paris and deposes the Shah. U.S. Embassy workers are paraded as hostages.
Back in Paris, Iranian “students” surround the U.S. Foundation shouting, “a bas(ah), U-S-A(ah).” As I, also a student, scramble to the roof fearing a medieval-like storming of the castle, I realize that the world is about to change. Hundreds of French riot police, lowering face masks, rush the violent mob, leaving trails of blood scattered everywhere. Khomeini’s revolution has begun.
Flash to 2015: Secretary of State John Kerry negotiates Iran’s nuclear bomb aspirations. Ayatollah Khameini celebrates the deal as Iran’s most important victory since deposing the Shah. Khomeini’s revolution has finally succeeded.
Flash to 2017: We now comprehend how Kerry’s deal was another Neville Chamberlain-like capitulation to a clear and present danger. It had always been difficult for U.S. administrations to imagine that former President Ahmadinejad’s frequent rant “to wipe Israel off the map” could be taken at face value.
However, on the first Tuesday in November 2016, while Americans were electing, ever nonchalantly, yet another progressive president, a mushroom cloud appeared over Tel Aviv, definitively ending President Truman’s promise of a Jewish homeland. Iran disavowed responsibility showing how Kerry’s deal prevented it from even having nuclear bomb capability until 2025-30 (Note: it would be discovered years later that the Iranians had previously made deals with the North Koreans to develop the bombs desired).
The converging Obama/post-Obama presidencies were clueless; international progressive policies collapsed unceremoniously into the dust bin of history. Quickly, other Middle-Eastern states “acquired” nuclear capability. Israel defended itself as best it could; the U.S. was forced to defend Israel. Europe and Asia chose sides; WWIII had begun. Khomeini’s triumphant Islamic revolution marshaled on under the cover of Shiite terrorist hegemonies and cozy military-oil arrangements forged with Russia, China and North Korea.
Regrettably, the KKK of WWIII, Ayatollahs Khomeini, Khameini, and the Kerry deal, had unleashed a destruction not seen since the days of Hitler and Hiroshima. The 55 million dead of WWII would seem a pittance compared to total, world-wide nuclear holocaust.
Today’s question: So, who is more dangerous, ISIS or Iran? Refer to the nuclear Golden Rule: Islamist terrorists who have the bomb — make the rules!
