I wanted to write to you and let you know about the wonderful experience that our family had at the Tall Sail Festival. My husband and I are from the Island of Kauai and were invited by my dad to come visit him during the Tall Sail Festival. My sister from Oklahoma also came to join us.
We attended Friday through Sunday and had an absolute blast! We visited each of the boats and talked freely with the volunteers and sailors who were on deck for each boat. (Because the Freda B boat did not dock, we did not visit them). Everyone was just fabulous to us, answering all our questions and just sharing time together. We asked one of the ladies who was obviously taking a count of the visitors who came on deck for her boat, what was the count for the day. She told us that she had over 1,600 people registered. We were delighted that so many did come out and enjoy the Tall Sail Boat Festival.
Additionally, we enjoyed the music while we were watching the boats go out for their end of the day sails each day. We did get a few items from the concessions in the main performance area, and those were good, too. Everyone was in good moods and it was fun to talk with each of them.
We had a fabulous time going in and out of the casino, purchasing our lunches and drinks each day at the restaurant, and enjoying visiting in the cafe. The people at the casino were very nice and helpful. It was all so very convenient, and we appreciated it tremendously.
We hope that there will continue to be a Tall Sail Festival in Coos Bay. We would definitely look forward to joining in the fun!
Thank you for your time to read about our experience. Many blessings to you.
