There’s been much angst among local gun rights activists of late. There’s been some talk in Salem this legislative session about new laws regarding firearms background checks — or some such.

We say “talk” because there’s no actual bill yet. Nothing’s been proposed in writing. Nevertheless, the Coos County commissioners will be asked this Tuesday whether to approve a resolution opposing any anti-gun rights legislation. Other Oregon counties already have.
