Coos Bay police arrested a 21-year-old man Friday morning after someone spray painted four police cars, marking one of them with a green swastika.

Chief Gary McCullough said officers found 21-year-old William R. Street, no address available, on the south end of town near Fred Meyer at about 2:45 a.m. They found spray paint in his pack, and his shoes were similar to prints found at City Hall, where the four cruisers had been parked.

McCullough said the case is connected to other graffiti found that night on the south side of City Hall and at Tower Ford.

He was taken to the Coos County jail, where he was cited and released. But he's banned from City Hall property, a police press release said.
