A celebration of the life of lifelong Bandon resident, Debra Diane Davis will be held at a later date.
Debra was born Feb. 10, 1957 in Myrtle Point, the daughter of Robert and Ann Porter. She died May 3, 2018 in Bandon at the age of 61.
She was raised and educated in Bandon. She received a Bachelor's in Business Law. She worked for Roseburg Lumber for 10 years as a dryer feeder, did in-home care for 10-12 years and was the president of SEIU Local No. 99 and won the Super Stewards Award for care-giving. The last several years she worked at Southern Coos Hospital as a dietary cook and aid.

She married Jack Davis June 7, 1983.
She enjoyed so much in life from gardening, camping, raising and showing show birds with Jack. She was a poetry and music writer and an accomplished piano player, but mainly she loved family
She is survived by her husband, Jack Davis; children, Tommie White, Taira Hopkins, John Davis and Anna Olund; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Greb Johnston, Mitch Johnston, LaDonna Jessop aand Dana Thompson.
