Susan Ferguson hangs lights Nov. 16 on a tree at the entrance to Shore Acres Gardens as volunteers build the annual Holiday Lights display at Shore Acres State Park. The 33rd annual Holiday Lights display opens Thanksgiving Day, featuring more than 325,000 LED holiday lights, 26 Christmas trees and 60 light sculptures. Hours are 4-9:30 p.m. daily through Dec. 31, with live entertainment many nights. The parking fee is $5 cash at the entrance booth and only service dogs are allowed outside of vehicles. In 2018, some 67,128 people visited the popular display.
