The 15th annual “Quilts by the Sea” quilt show will be presented during the Bandon Cranberry Festival Sept. 11, 12 and 13. The show will be held at the Odd Fellows Hall on Highway 42S and Ohio Avenue. Hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. each day.
Last year, Bandon Quilters Guild members had nearly 100 quilted objects on display, including antique quilts. There are 20-25 active members. Each year, guild members make numerous baby quilts that are donated to the Mom's Program at Bay Area Hospital, and other quilts that are given to various organizations in need, such as CASA, the Pregnancy Resource Center and veterans programs.
Chicks and A Rooster Quilt Shop from Sutherlin will be a vendor at the show.
Admission is $2, which includes a chance to win a beautiful raffle quilt made by guild members. Additional chances are available for $1 each for one ticket or six tickets for $5.
