COOS BAY — Care about campaign reform? Come see Barbara Bates Smith in a one-woman show with music by Jeff Sebens. Smith portrays really spunky lady, Doris “Granny D” Haddock who became a national heroine in 2000 when as a 90-year-old she walked all the way across the U.S. for campaign finance reform and was widely credited for her bipartisan aid in the passage of the McCain-Feingold Reform Act.
The one-night show begins at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 17 at the Dolphin Playhouse, 580 Newmark, Coos Bay.
Suggested donation is $10 to $20 at the door. Sales benefit the League of Women Voters of Coos County.
