PORTLAND (AP) — Portland police are investigating a fatal shooting of an 18-year-old man.

The Oregonian/OregonLive reports officers responded to a report of a shooting on Southeast 162nd Avenue at about 8 p.m. Saturday.

They found an injured man in the parking lot of the Springtree Apartments.

Officers called for medical help, but the man died at the scene.

Portland Police would not confirm whether they had identified any suspects but said that detectives from the department's homicide division and forensic evidence division were investigating.

On Sunday morning around 8:15 a.m., Portland Police Lt. Tina Jones said the department was still working with the Multnomah County medical examiner and that they could not yet release the identity of the victim, his cause of death, and whether anyone else was involved.
