Cord-cutting has increasingly become the norm. Millions of Americans have cancelled their cable or satellite TV subscriptions in the past few years, and only 14 percent of Americans watch over-the-air TV. That means that with the Oscars airing on ABC this Sunday, accessing the show could be a bit of a problem for many movie fans.

Here's a rundown of how you can catch the 91st Academy Awards this weekend whether you're a subscriber, streamer or none of the above.

The basics

The Oscars will air on ABC Sunday, Feb. 24, at 8 p.m. EST. Red carpet coverage will begin at 6:30 p.m. EST.

For those of you who have a paid cable or satellite subscription or an antenna hooked up to your TV, things are pretty simple. Just turn your TV to ABC (what number that channel is depends on where you live, obviously) at the correct time.

ABC will stream the Oscars live on its website and app as well. However, you'll need to sign in with your TV provider information, and it's not available in all markets. If you want to watch the show for free and don't care about watching it live, ABC will make the broadcast available to everyone March 5-22.

Streaming options

Streaming options are constantly improving, but each service offers something slightly different. Most services carry ABC in at least some areas, but availability – and prices — vary. If you're not looking to pay another monthly fee, all services offer some sort of free trial period.

  • Subscription starts at $39.99 per month (increases to $44.99 per month on Feb. 26)
  • Offers a 7-day free trial
  • ABC availability varies by area

If you already subscribe to Sling TV, AT&T Watch TV, Philo, or fuboTV, you're out of luck. Those streaming services don't carry ABC.
