COOS BAY — Steve Schieszer tours the United States with his Magic & Illusion Shows, featuring many of his original inventions and classics of magic. He also tours to lecture for magician's who are members of the International Brotherhood of Magician's, Fellowship of Christian Magician's, Society of American Magician's, and the world famous Magic Castle. He and his wife are members of the Magic Castle, in Hollywood, Calif.
Schieszer is no stranger to the Southern Oregon Coast, he grew up entertaining in the Bandon area. He has donated his time to the Bullard's Beach State Park Summer Programs and helped raise funds for the fireworks display in Bandon.
This summer, he and his team travel to Coos Bay, to present two Magic & Illusion Shows at the Egyptian Theatre on Saturday, Aug. 25. These shows feature large stage illusions, stand-up magic effects, and even some close-up magic projected on the silver screen. Featuring Comedy Magic, as taught to Steve by Master Magician, Billy McComb and featuring Stage Illusion, as taught to Steve by Master Magician, Andre Kole.
These family-friendly shows are great for the young, probably around 15, to the young at heart, 99 and better. The first show is scheduled for 2 p.m. and a second show will begin at 7 p.m., both at the Egyptian Theatre, 229 S Broadway in Coos Bay. Schieszer and his team will donate 35 percent of the proceeds back to the Egyptian Theatre Preservation Association.
General Admission tickets, $7 each. A limited number of VIP Admission tickets, are $10 each and seating is in rows 1 to 3.
