BANDON - The applicants for the Bandon Beach Hotel project have requested to continue deliberation at the Thursday, June 28, city Planning Commission meeting rather than at the planned Thursday, May 24, meeting, according to City Planner Dana Nichols.

As mentioned at the April 26 meeting on the zone text amendment request for the Bandon Beach Hotel project, the record was left open for an additional seven days for the public to submit additional comment. The applicant then has at least seven days to respond with a written rebuttal, Nichols explained. Since the project's attorney will be out of the country for the next few weeks, the applicant team has requested to be heard at the June meeting to provide them with additional time to prepare. This also allows Planning Commissioners additional time to read through the public testimony received within that extended comment period.

Procedurally, at the May 24, meeting, the Planning Commission chairman will open the record on the agenda item, make an announcement that the deliberation will be postponed to a date and time certain, at 7 p.m. June 28, and then close the record again. No public comment will be taken.
