8:21 a.m., suspicious vehicle in the 600 block of Second Street SE. Caller said person is sleeping in the vehicle in the restaurant parking lot and has been there since last night. The person in the vehicle just went for a walk and is now back in his vehicle. Suspect trespassed from inside the restaurant, business advised on how to obtain a tow from private property. 

10:26 a.m., suspicious subjects in the 87000 block of 14th Street. Caller found people on neighbor's property, advised them to leave, possible "casing" the residence. Home owner is not home, both subjects left west bound on Jackson. Checked area, unable to locate.

11:02 a.m., suspicious subject in the 900 block of Baltimore Avenue. Peron is in street talking to vehicle - brown Mini Cooper with nobody in it. Subject is a white male, 40-50 years old with a brown stocking hat, blue jacket, black pants and did not move when caller drove by. Subject contacted, will be moving on.

3:36 p.m., foot patrol in the area of Harvard Street. Check of transient camp in wooded area. Subjects have vacated the area; new property owner. Handled.

4:50 p.m., accident at mile post 278 on U.S. Highway 101. Report of two-vehicle accident, one of the vehicles is still on its top. Transferred call to Oregon State Police, Bay Cities Ambulance. Assistance rendered.

Oct. 27

10:06 a.m., dispute in the area of Harlem Avenue NE. Male in small grey Chevy S10 is yelling at lady that she is fat. Subject possibly intoxicated, caller said vehicle was not put in park when he stopped and it started to roll away. Driver and vehicle left toward Ray's. Driver contacted, no crime.

2:20 p.m., dispute in the 50000 block of U.S. Highway 101, man on phone reports couple is having a fight and they are starting to swing at each other. Checked area, unable to locate subjects.

2:30 p.m, driving complaint at mile post 258 on U.S. Highway 101. Caller said vehicle is south bound with a big red enclosed trailer. Checked, vehicle is driving fine, no reason for traffic stop.

5:40 p.m., caller said he located a machete in a store at 980 Oregon Avenue. Handled.

6:48 p.m., caller said son just had surgery, he received a call saying something was wrong, unknown if medical or something else. Caller transferred to Bay Cities Ambulance, made contact with neighbor, subject was transported by personal vehicle.

11:02 p.m., officer observed suspicious subject in the 75 block of 12th Street SE, advised subject to move along.

11:53 p.m., officer flagged down by citizen who observed subject pulling on doors at Bandon School District, 455 Ninth St. SW. Checked area, contacted football coach, logged for information.

Oct. 28

2:06 a.m., found mountain bike at City Hall, 555 Highway 101, checked serial number, no wants, secured at police department.

12:06 p.m., fraud reported in the 1300 block of Michigan Avenue, caller said someone called asking for money to receive winnings, wants to meet her at Ray's. Contacted, advised it was a scam. 

12:25 p.m., driving complaint at mile post 246 on U.S. Highway 101, man on cell said he observed a vehicle swerving back and forth and changing its rate of speed, heading south bound. Caller transferred to Oregon State Police.

4:05 p.m., caller reported that she picked up a transient in the area of U.S. Highway 101 and June Avenue to take her to a shelter, but she is unable to locate a shelter. Referred.

6:49 p.m., as the result of a traffic stop arrested Vincent Edward Harper, 28, of Ashland on a charge of DUII. Taken to Coos County Jail.

9:34 p.m., bar check at 325 Second St. SE.

10:22 p.m., security checks at 1320 Oregon Ave. 

Oct. 29

1:30 a.m., subject is trying to take possession of a vehicle that belongs to the subject. Caller contacted, advised that it's a civil issue. 

12:48 p.m., citation issued to subject in the 1200 block of Jackson Avenue.

1:39 p.m., criminal trespassing in the 20 block of Ninth Street SW, subject trespassed from property, has left but was pan handling. Subject notified.

2:30 p.m., dead fawn found in backyard in the 700 block of Third Street SE. Will let city know tomorrow.

6:03 p.m., possible physical dispute in the area of 10th and Grand, caller hears arguing and sounds of someone being hit, though caller does not see anyone, only hears dispute. Not as reported. Arrested Brittany Justine Overstreet, 27, of Bandon on an outstanding warrant. Taken to Coos County Jail.

8:50 p.m., suspect took $10 worth of electronics from store at 1035 Second Ave. SE, possibly more. Caller has video footage. Checked area, unable to locate. 

9:35 p.m., phone harassment reported in the 1200 block of Indiana. Contacted caller, provided options for restraining order process.

Oct. 31

12:53 p.m., suspicious subjects camping in Bandon area. Handled.

1:24 p.m., vehicle parked in middle of parking lot at 55 Michigan Ave, no one around, unsure if broken down.

1:24 p.m., assisted outside agency at Rosa Road and 11th Street, workers trying to do work in area and unknown subject was belligerent and said he would be back. Handled.

6:03 p.m., caller found a wallet on Fourth Street. Handled.

6:19 p.m., theft reported at 44 Michigan Ave., dropped off prescription then attempted to steal a beer. Unable to locate.

Nov. 1

12:23 p.m., juvenile problem at Harbor Lights Middle School, 390 Ninth St. SW; juvenile left school, mother enroute to find him. While on line, juvenile returned to school, no further assistance.

5:07 p.m., caller located a syringe in the 1400 block of Oregon Avenue by the side door. Caller still at location. Contacted caller, took syringe for destruction.

Nov. 3

2:51 a.m., man on cell said when he came around the corner in the area of Bear Creek and Highway 42S, vehicle killed their lights and sat in the middle of the road. Checked area, unable to locate.

7:24 a.m., caller at Highway 42S and Prosper Junction said there is a man standing near the road. Checked area, unable to locate.

8:20 a.m., alarm in the 1000 block of Austin Avenue. Checked residence, it is secure.

7:47 p.m., dead deer at U.S. Highway 101 and Harlem is causing traffic hazard. Deer removed.

10:44 p.m., suspicious man on back porch looking in the window at building in the 300 block of Second Street SE. Checked area, unable to locate and building appears secure.

Nov. 4

12:06 a.m., out with injured deer in road at U.S. Highway 101 and June Avenue. Handled.

12:58 a.m., alarm sounding in the 1300 block of Eighth Street SW. Checked area, residence secure.

8:56 a.m., dogs at large in the 200 block of First Street SW. Manager of Fish Market said the dog just came into the Fish Market, nobody else around. Dogs lodged at Bandon Police Department.

11:03 a.m., owner picking up dogs at police department; dogs returned and owner warned. 

12:54 p.m., dog at large in the 700 block of Ninth Street SW. Located owner of dog.

2:30 p.m., caller can hear man and woman yelling in the 700 block of Eighth Street SW. It is small children screaming, not as reported.

4:12 p.m., syringes found in the 1100 block of Second Street SE. Seized for destruction.

6:20 p.m., criminal trespassing in the 1200 block of Oregon Avenue. Employee needs intoxicated subject trespassed; he left business going north toward 11th at intersection. Subject needs to be advised.

7:03 p.m., fire reported in the 200 block of 13th Street SE. Subjects at location are outside having a party, having a bonfire. Paged Bandon Fire Department, advised to call Bandon Police Department as it is in city limits. Caller said the fire is all burned down now, no assistance needed.

9:19 p.m., caller asked neighbors to put out fire in the 200 block of 13th Street SE; they are now trying to make it bigger. Fire is under control and within reason.

10:04 p.m., east side yellow gate at Harbor Lights Middle School, 390 Ninth St. SW, came open and almost hit caller's vehicle. She attempted to secure the gate but the chain is broken. Gate is secure; handled.
