BANDON - Verizon Wireless in the Bandon Shopping Center will host its grand opening event from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 19, 20 and 21, and the public is invited.
Rebuilding after a car crashed through its front window and through the store in late October, the staff is celebrating the repairs and that no one was hurt in the incident. Verizon will be partnering with several local nonprofits and small businesses who would like to meet and greet the community as well, according to Samantha Willis, Verizon district sales manager.
Bandon Animal Rescue will be doing an adoption fair all three days. There will be a local hand-crafted soap and lotion entrepreneur offering samples. The Bandon Historical Society will be presenting the history of Bandon throughout the weekend. Washed Ashore, Cranberry Sweets and the Bandon School District also were invited to take part in events.
Verizon also announces that representatives from Google, Dish, Samsung and Motorola will be in store as well with prizes and presentations of what's new and exciting in the tech world.
Verizon will offer several in store discounts, specials and sales throughout the weekend and will be raffling off a free phone with Moto mods valued near $1,000.
