LANGLOIS - Interesting Langlois Presents local author Christine Roney at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, at the Langlois Public Library.
Roney will introduces her new novella, "Fading Grace." Grace begins to feel invisible, and one morning she looks in the mirror and watches in horror as her reflection fades. She doesn’t just feel invisible anymore, she is invisible. Why did this happen? How can she be seen again? As Grace searches for answers to these questions, what she discovers will impact the way we see ourselves and others.
Roney began her professional life by earning a Juris Doctor degree in California and practicing law at the trial and appellate levels. While writing briefs for the courts and advocating for her clients gave her much satisfaction, she eventually realized that she wanted to take a more artistic path.
She completed the professional screenwriting program at UCLA Film School and has written several screenplays. And although she loves the screenplay format, Roney decided that writing novels would allow her to delve much deeper into the characters that play around in her head.
Roney lives on the Oregon coast where she pounds away on her laptop to the sound of crashing waves and howling winds.
