BANDON - Art by the Sea Gallery and Studio invites the public to attend a reception for member artist Jean Ochsner, whose art is being featured in July along with gallery members' works. The reception is from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, July 7, with harp and guitar music by Robin O’Neill. Refreshments will be served.
Ochsner's art is based on the theme “Under the Sea, Over the Sea & Sometimes In Between.” Ochsner is a ceramic artist who joined the gallery last year. She brings not only her technical skills to her art but a sense of whimsy and playfulness as she sculpts sea creatures and birds along with her bowls with pine needle weavings.
Member artists’ works were created around a beach theme. The works have been created in wood, shell wreathes, jewelry, painting, drawing, gourds, photography, weavings, assemblage and replica lighthouses.
Come enjoy the art, the music, the refreshments, and the company of folks in the local art scene, said a gallery member.
A summer schedule for upcoming classes will be available, or check the website or Facebook to keep up to date on the latest art happenings.
Art by the Sea Gallery and Studio is located at 145 Fillmore Ave., S.E., Old Town Bandon and is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. daily through the summer months.
