NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING - CASE FILE NO. AMD 1-18: PROPOSAL TO AMEND THE TEXT OF NORTH BEND CITY CODE TITLE 18, ZONING The City of North Bend City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, November 13th at 7:00 pm in the City Hall Council Chamber, 835 California Avenue to consider proposed amendments that will regulate accessory dwelling units and other certain housing developments and update general definitions and lot and off-street parking requirements. Applicable Criteria: Chapter 18.84 of North Bend City Code; Chapters IV, XI, XIII, and VX of North Bend Comprehensive Plan; Goal 10 of the Oregon Statewide Planning Goals Subject Property: All property within City of North Bend city limits Based on the initial evidentiary hearing, Planning Commission recommends approval and adoption of the proposed amendments by ordinance with revision to the general definition of "accessory structure or use" such that it clarifies an unenclosed, covered porch and/or deck is an accessory structure and not a building for purposes of NBCC Title 18. The City Council shall take final action on this matter. Written comments and objections may be submitted in writing any time prior to the close of the hearing. Failure of an issue to be raised in a hearing, in person, or by letter, or failure to provide statements or evidence sufficient to afford the decision maker an opportunity to respond to the issue precludes appeal to the board based on that issue.
