Glide scored 21 points in both the first and fourth quarters and beat visiting Myrtle Point 72-39 in a nonleague boys basketball game on Monday.

Clay Farrar had 21 points and Dillon Towne 15 for the Wildcats, who saw all 11 of its players score in the game.

Glide led 21-6 after the first quarter and led the rest of the way.

Cody Sears had 19 points and Jose Medina and Jalen Robbins added seven each for the Bobcats.

Myrtle Point is back in Douglas County today with a game at Days Creek as a part of three straight days with games. Myrtle Point hosts Camas Valley on Wednesday.

Glide faces another Sunset Conference team Wednesday when it visits Gold Beach.


Glide 43, Myrtle Point 24: The host Wildcats used a big second half to pull away from the Bobcats.

Glide led 14-8 at halftime, but outscored the Bobcats 17-5 in the third quarter to build a big lead.

Whitney Stone and Jordan Williams had 12 points each for Glide. Shay Bateman led the Bobcats with eight points.

Myrtle Point hosts Camas Valley on Wednesday, while Glide visits Gold Beach the same night.
