Coquille topped host Bandon 25-11, 25-14, 25-13 in a nonleague volleyball match Monday night.

“It was a serving clinic for Coquille,” Bandon coach Mariah Vierck said. “The good part is we tried a lot of variations in our lineup and most girls got to play.”

McKenna Wilson had eight kills, three assists and six aces for the Red Devils. Rhiannon McKinley added 16 assists and two aces; Grace Sinclair had five kills, four aces and two stuff blocks; and Halle Layton had three kills, two assists and a stuff block.

Both teams are preparing for their respective league openers next week. Coquille also visits Reedsport in another nonleague match Wednesday while Bandon hosts Powers the same night.

GIRLS SOCCER

Coquille 10, Rogue River 3: Autumn Morrison had four goals and Jordyn Tippett had three goals and two assists as the Coquille-Myrtle Point DevilCats beat the host Chieftains.

Madison Landmark had two goals and an assist and Maria Medina had one goal for the DevilCats, who led 6-2 at halftime.

Kezia Amonoo and Annalisa Church also had assists for Coquille, which improved to 2-0 on the season.

BOYS SOCCER

Rogue River 2, Coquille 0: The Chieftains handed the DevilCats their first loss of the season.

Garren Decker scored both goals for Rogue River, one in each half.
