The Boys & Girls Club of Southwestern Oregon is accepting registrations for the upcoming track and field and spring soccer seasons.

Both programs will hold their first competitions on Saturday, March 31. Boys & Girls Club officials encourage parents to sign their students up early to reserve their spot on a team.

Spring soccer is for boys and girls in kindergarten through sixth grade, while track and field is for those in fourth through sixth grade. The fee for each is $70 with a current Boys & Girls Club membership.

Youth tennis classes have resumed at the William J. Sweet Memorial Tennis Center, part of the Boys & Girls Club of Southwestern Oregon.

Classes for boys and girls ages 5-7 are Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m., with a cost of $75 with a current club membership. Newcomers ages 8-10 have classes on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., with a $100 fee with a club membership. Students 11-14 have classes on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30 p.m., with a cost of $100 with a membership.

The team tennis program, meanwhile, has practices on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and is for players ages 12-18 who want to work on their tennis skills for high school or tournament play. The program is run on a monthly basis with a fee of $180 with a current membership.

Starting Saturday, Feb. 3, the first Saturday of every month will include free tennis lessons from 10 a.m. to noon for boys and girls ages 8 to 18 with little or no tennis experience. Coach Ian Bailey will work with the students. Pre-registration is recommended.
