Gold Coast Swim Team athlete Anna Hutchins competed in the senior Western Zone Meet for the first time last week in Clovis, Calif., and posted a number of personal bests.

Hutchins had personal bests in five of her seven events, and made the final rounds in two of them, with her best finish 29th in the 200-meter freestyle with a new best of 2 minutes, 12.37 seconds.

Hutchins also finished in the top 40 in the 100 freestyle with a personal best time of 1:00.32.

She was 41st in the 400 freestyle (4:40.61), 45th in the 50 freestyle (28.32), 52nd in the 200 butterfly (2:33.75) and 73rd in the 100 butterfly (1:09.06).

Hutchins had new bests in every race but the 100 butterfly and 400 freestyle.
