Gymnastics Plus had a strong showing at its annual winter home meet, Tumble by the Bay, on Feb. 10.
The girls on the team, part of the Boys & Girls Club of Southwestern Oregon, earned a number of first-place finishes during the day.
In all, 28 members of Gymnastics Plus participated in the event, held at the Boys & Girls Club.
Allison Kirby was first and Amyaika Funk third in the all-around in the Level 6 child division. Kirby had the top scores on both the uneven parallel bars and floor exercise and Funk was best in the division on both the vault and balance beam.
Charlie Dea and Guadalope Trujillo were the only two girls in the Level 6 junior divison. Dea won the vault and floor exercise and had the better all-around score. Dea won the floor exercise and they tied for first on the bars.
Camilla Torres-Zepeda won the beam and was second in the all-around in the level 6 senior division, with teammate Alyssa Landrum third.
Kiana Thomas won the vault and floor exercise and was second in the all-around, with teammate Aliyah White third in Level 8. White was second on the beam.
Isabella Nelson won the vault and beam while teammate Natalie Fish was second on the bars and beam and in the all-around for Level 5 senior.
Drew Hood was first on the beam and floor and second in the all-around in the Level 4 junior division. Sinead Duggan was second on the vault in the Level 4 senior division.
The biggest divisions were the three Level 3 divisions, with 11 girls in each age group.
In Level 3 child, Ailey Barich won the beam and floor exercise and was second in the all-around. Calli Muffett was second on the bars. Alexandria Wee and Heidi Riehl also competed in the division.
In Level 3 junior, Avie Bradbury-Nelson was second on the vault and floor exercise and third in the all-around and tied for second with teammate Annabelle VanHoof on the bars. VanHoof also was third on the vault and floor and fourth in the all-around. Kiarra Roland, Addison Hansen, Alyssa Tyner and Jo Jo Hall also competed at the age group.
And in Level 3 senior, Danni Buhr was third on the vault and fourth in the all-around. Maili Hiner was fourth on the floor. Olivia Washburn, Sophia Putas, Olivia Shield and Lilly Stanton also competed in the age group.
The week before Tumble by the Bay, 10 of the same gymnasts competed in the large Pacific Edge Invitational, which included nearly 20 teams.
Thomas had the best finish in any event, taking fifth on the floor in her division. Trujillo was seventh on the beam and Dea ninth on the vault in their division. Barich was eight in the all-around for her division and Bradbury-Nelson had a ninth-place finish on the bars for her age group and Fish was 10th on the bars.

Meanwhile, six members of the new Gymnastics Plus boys team competed last weekend in the MAC Open, which featured 12 teams.
Deven Humiston had the best individual finish, winning the vault in his age group.
Noah Humiston had a third-place finish on the vault in his division.
Others competing were Parker Pruett, Emanuel James, Zachary Hall and River Boettcher.
