Both North Bend and Marshfield will be hosting playoff games of their own during the Class 3A state tournament this weekend, though only Marshfield’s will impact the rest of the tournament schedule.
The North Bend boys host Sutherlin, trying to advance to the Class 4A state tournament next week in Forest Grove. The game will be played at 7 p.m. Friday at North Bend High School.
Marshfield’s girls host Stayton on Saturday, trying to punch their ticket to Forest Grove. The game is scheduled for 4 p.m., sandwiched between the third-place and championship games of the Class 3A tournament.
Because of that, the fourth-place girls game will tip off at 8 a.m. Saturday, followed by the boys at 9:45, the third-place girls at 11:30 and the third-place boys at 1:15. Instead of being in separate sessions, those games all will be in one continuous session.
The girls championship game will tip off at 7 p.m., instead of 6:30, and the boys are scheduled to tip at 9 p.m.
Admission for the North Bend and Marshfield playoff games is $6 for adults and $4 for students.
Admission for the tournament games is $7 for adults and $4 for students per session, except for the semifinals and finals, when it rises to $8 for adults and $5 for students.
