Ali Carter made sure her senior day for Reedsport’s golf team, breaking 100 for the first time in a competitive round at Forest Hills Country Club last week.
Carter shot a 99 to finish one shot behind medalist Maricela Alvarado-Powers of Phoenix.
Carter shot a 46 on the first nine and had a 53 on the back nine.
“Ali finally broke 100,” Reedsport coach Jessica Coudare said, adding that the golfers took advantage of a nice day when they often haven’t been this spring.
“The weather was absolutely perfect,” Coudare said.
Kaylie Smith shot a 125 for Reedsport’s girls. Maddie Kay had a 71 for nine holes.
Clay Laskey had a 116 for Reedsport’s boys, while Brody Priest shot 120 and Darrien Dolan 121. Toby Storey had a 69 for nine holes.
