  • Sept. 9, 7:33 p.m., welfare check, 1000 block of Heather Court, Reedsport. Anonymous caller requested a welfare check on child left unattended. Officer responded and the child was home with mom. Both seemed well.

  • Sept. 12, 2:18 a.m., DUII, Reedsport. During a traffic stop, a driver was found to be under the influence of intoxicants. He was arrested and taken to the Reedsport Police Department.

  • Sept. 13, 12:34 p.m., harassment/theats, 1800 block of Elm Avenue, Reedsport. Citizen reported receiving Internet-based harassment.
  • Sept. 13, 6:20 p.m., mental hold, 2100 block of Winchester Avenue, Reedsport. Oregon State Police reported a male contacted them who is possibly in a mental crisis. Officers responded to check safety of individual.
  • Sept. 15, 7:27 p.m., suspicious circumstances, Reedsport. Officer requested a case number for suspicious activity reported to him while on patrol. Patrolled area and checked several buldings. Everything seemed secure.
  • Sept. 15, 9:07 p.m., fire, 600 block of Ranch Road, Reedsport.  Douglas County 911 Communications reported a 90-year-old woman says her room is full of smoke. Police and fire responded. It was burned food in the microwave.
