The St. Patrick's Day Trivia Challenge and Pub Crawl will take place March 17 starting at 5 p.m. at the Eagles Club, 510 Greenwood.
This marks the ninth anniversary of the Coastal Douglas Arts & Business Alliance's (CDABA) event. Kathleen Miller wrote in a press release that proceeds from the adults only event will benefit the city of Reedsport's centennial celebration.
Reedsport will honor its centennial in 2019, having been incorporated in 1919.
Teams should pre-register at the Mindpower Gallery, located at 417 Fir Ave., or they can also register at the Lodge at 5 p.m. March 17. "The registration fee per team is $20 for a team of four and $5 (per) additional person (unlimited number). Team registration forms are available at the Mindpower Gallery and from CDABA members."
Miller said volunteers are needed to host at the trivia challenge venues and to help with grading. The goal is to have a minimum of two people per trivia location.
The trivia venues this year are: Waterfront Restaurant; Moose Lodge; The Schooner Cafe; Tides Inn and Defeat River Brewery. "All teams will reassemble at the Eagles Club at 8:30 p.m. to learn the names of the winning teams," she wrote. "Prizes to be awarded this year include a prize for the winning trivia team and a prize for the best dressed team (Got Green?)."
