Opening night of "A Christmas Story: the Musical" was delightful. We know the movie well and we were more than pleasantly surprised. Even hilarious little details like Mall Santa booting Ralphie down the slide came to life. The triple-segmented set was lazy Suzan style with scene rotating like gyro roast. The cast was huge and every person just sang their hearts out. Ralphie was true to form, but his Old Man, played by Scott Peters, just blew us away with his singing and comedic timing. Ah, the Tapestry of Obscenity is floating above South Slough, as you read this. You should come out and see this show!
