The annual Coos County Mounted Sheriff’s Posse Benefit Ride was a tremendous success. The weather could not have been better and the number of participants was beyond expectation. This year, we had 115 people, with most of them going on a warm and scenic ride through the dunes and down the beach.

Several people made this a banner year. Coos Grange Supply did a superb job in providing raffle items, speaker and advertising. They have sponsored this ride for the past three years and with the work Chris Brown put in, we exceeded all we hoped to achieve.

But there are others who also were very generous, businesses including Umpqua Bank, Katrina Kathleen’s, Casey’s Saddle shop, Creative Creations, Moe’s Super Lube, North Bend Les Schwab, Horsin’ Around and Memories of Time Scrapbooking.

Because of their generosity, we were able to raise enough funds to make Christmas a memorable event for families, and especially the children.

We thank everyone who had a part in making this a most successful event.
