Rosa Frances Wiley, 95, of Morton, Wash. previously of Lakeside, died Tue. Sept. 5 of natural causes.
Viewing and visitation will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017 until cryptside service time 3 p.m. at the Dunes Memorial Mausoleum, 2300 Frontage Rd. Reedsport, with Pastor Kyle Busenitz, Harbor Baptist Church officiating.
She was born Feb.11, 1922 in Goodrich, Kan. to William Allen and Anna Agnes (Dinsmore) Morrison being one of eight children. She was raised and educated in Kansas. Rosa was united in marriage to Tacoma W. Wiley Nov. 3, 1940 in Paola, Kan. Together they raised three sons and celebrated sixty years of life together when he preceded her in death in 2000. She was a busy wife, mother and homemaker until she began a career working as an administrative secretary at California State University Long Beach for fourteen years. She retired in 1973. She and Tacoma moved to the Lakeside community where Rosa was an active member of the Harbor Baptist Church. Among her personal interests, she enjoyed quilting, hooking rugs and working in the garden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tacoma; one son, Dennis, and most of her brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her two sons; Douglas Wiley of Coquille and Walter Wiley of Silver Creek, Wash.; sister, Joyce Kuder of Mo.; brother, Jack Morrison of Iowa; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
