July 9, 2015 - Dec. 13, 2017
A memorial service for Magnus Mark-Einar Fields, 2, of North Bend will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7 at Harmony United Methodist Church, 123 Ocean Blvd. SE, Coos Bay, with Pastor Laura Beville officiating. A reception will follow at the church.
Magnus was born on July 9, 2015, in Coos Bay. He was the sweetest, happiest little boy that his family and friends have ever known. A gentle giant, he shared warm snuggles with everybody. He loved playing peek-a-boo, singing, dancing, laughing, and squealing in joy. The radiant light of his spirit touched the lives of countless people.
After undergoing a successful stem cell transplant to treat a rare genetic disorder at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland, our mighty Viking returned home in victory. He passed away peacefully and unexpectedly in his sleep on Dec. 13, 2017.
Magnus is survived by his parents, Molly and Jeffery Fields of North Bend; brother, Brian Fields; grandparents, Barbara Keller, Dan Keller Jr., Fonda Keller, Penni Fields, and Allen “Gator” Fields; great-grandparents, Geneieve James, Bobby James, Arlene Fields, and Wanda Keller; and a multitude of uncles, aunts, cousins and dear friends.
All are welcome to attend the memorial service of this extraordinary little boy. A secondary parking location is available at Blossom Gulch Elementary School with a free taxi to the church.
Arrangements are under the care of Coos Bay Chapel, 541-267-3131.
