Sept. 4, 1953 - Oct. 17, 2017
Deborah Kathryn Gallus, 64, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017 in Riverton, Utah after courageously battling Breast Cancer for over eight years.
She was born Sept. 4, 1953 in San Diego , Calif. to Floyd Allen and Mary Louise Hatch, and is the oldest of four siblings, Pat Allen, Shanor Allen (deceased), and Tanya Paterson. She married Dale Kennell and had her first child, Jamie Kathryn Kennell Menendez. Shortly after, she was remarried to Michael Ralph Gallus. They had two children together, Angela Constance Gallus Haga, and Jessica Michelle Gallus Simonsen. She is survived by both parents, including long time step-father, Ray Patterson and step-mother, Donna Allen; her siblings, and her children (noted above), as well as by her nine grandchildren, and one great-grandson. She leaves behind her best friend and longtime companion of 23 years, Scott Ingleby.
She was known for her spunky, social, and outgoing personality. She was compassionate and willing to talk to anyone who needed help. She loved her dogs and most especially her grandkids, whom she wore her self out entertaining. She laughed hard and can be heard so doing in every family home video. She will be missed, but we are grateful that her suffering is now over.
At her request, a celebration of life will be held, 1:00 p.m., Dec. 9, 2017, at 1700 Monroe Ave. North Bend. Reception will follow.
