Pacific Power is reporting widespread power outages across southwestern Oregon.

In a statement released about 10 minutes ago, the utility said: "We are aware of power outages throughout Oregon, affecting the areas and surrounding areas of Coos Bay, Cottage Grove, Klamath Falls, Lebanon, Lincoln City, and Roseburg. These outages are weather related and include multiple lines down and trees through lines caused by heavy snow. Approx 11,265 customers are without power. We apologize for the inconvenience. We have all available crews assisting in the repairs. Because of the continuing weather and extensive damage to our equipment, there are no firm estimates for restoration."

Readers are reporting power outages across the South Coast.

"We weren't prepared for this at all and we have a 2 year old," Kimberly Humbert of Coos Bay wrote on The World's timeline. "Power is already out here."

Others, like residents in Coos Bay, report power going on and off.

At the height of the storm, an hour and a half ago, Pacific Power reported more than 7,000 people without power in Coos Bay, North Bend and Bandon. Much of that service has since been restored.
