First delivery of 1,000 pounds of milk this morning to Face Rock Creamery in Bandon from Milk-E-Way Dairy, owned by the Scolari family in the Coquille Valley. FRC owner Greg Drobot said the vats and cheese making areas will be inspected by the Health Department today when the milk is pumped in and head cheese maker Brad Sinko hopes to start the first batch of cheese tomorrow after an additional 14,000 pounds of milk is delivered. Curds can be ready as soon as five hours once the culture is added, Sinko said. The creamery's ribbon cutting and grand opening will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8.
