NORTH BEND — North Bay Elementary students got hands-on experience in science, engineering, technology and math (STEM) at a family night on April 30.

Oregon Coast STEM Hub partners Clair Thomas and Joel Thomas have brought their trailer of hands-on activities to schools all over the coast. Last week, they came to North Bay Elementary.

North Bay principal Colleen Reeves said more than 300 people of all ages attended, with more than 30 hands-on stations including exploring creatures under microscopes, concepts in physics, classifying animals, fish prints and plant prints, building motors and electrical circuits, chemistry processes, designing and harnessing wind energy, and more.
