COOS COUNTY — A woman was arrested last Thursday for trespassing.

Coos County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call in Lakeside at 3:49 p.m. for a trespasser. According to a press release from the department, deputies contacted a man who said his daughter, Heidi Gabbard, and her children had been evicted from their residence and had been staying with him.

“He told Gabbard she was not welcome,” the release said. “(He) explained he was allowing his grand-children to stay at the residence but not Gabbard.”

The father tried to call the Sheriff’s Department in the morning, but Gabbard took his phone in an attempt to stop him. When deputies arrived on scene, they found the phone in the bushes outside of a window, which support the claims.

Gabbard was arrested for interfering with making a police report and criminal trespass in the first degree. She was taken to the Coos County Jail, her bail set at $20,000.
