CHARLESTON — A Coos County woman was arrested Monday night by Coos County Sheriff's deputies after giving a false name to the deputies during a traffic stop, according to a CCSO press release.
Elizabeth B. McDonald, age unknown was stopped by deputies near Boat Basin and Metcalf Road at 6:35 p.m.
During the traffic stop, McDonald provided two false names and a false date of birth to the deputies, the release said. After the information provided was unable to be located in the system, McDonald gave deputies her real name and date of birth. When McDonald was identified through the system, it showed two active warrants for McDonald, as well as a suspended drivers license.
McDonald was arrested for the two warrants, providing false information to a police officer, parole violation, issued citations for driving while suspended, driving without insurance and was transported to Coos County Jail. Elizabeth McDonald is being held at the Coos County Jail in lieu of $17,500 bail.
