COOS BAY — A Klamath Falls man was arrested Monday for driving a stolen car, according to a Coos County Sheriff's Office press release.

At about 11 a.m., a Coos County Sheriff”s Deputy was patrolling the area of the South Jetty parking lot at Bastendorff Beach in Coos Bay attempting to conduct follow-up on a criminal trespassing case. The trespass had occurred earlier in downtown Charleston.

The Deputy stopped a 1986 Mercedes four-door car in the South Jetty parking area. The car had been previously reported stolen out of Klamath Falls. An interview with the driver confirmed he had been operating the vehicle.

As a result of the stop, William Postlethwait, of Klamath Falls, was arrested for unauthorized use of a vehicle and driving while with a suspended license.
