BUNKER HILL —A 31-year-old Coos Bay was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, again.
Around 10 a.m. Sunday, a Coos County Sheriff’s Office deputy was patrolling Bunker Hill when they saw a vehicle partially blocking the road near Bay Park Lane and the 2nd Street Loop.
The occupant of the vehicle – Robert Connolly - appeared to be asleep. The deputy recognized Connolly and called him by name, “arousing him from his false sleep,” according to a Coos County Sheriff’s Office news release.
The deputy searched Connolly and found a small baggie with meth residue and a meth smoking device.
Connolly was arrested for unlawful possession of methamphetamine.
He is also on probation for a previous methamphetamine charge. The current charge violated his probation, so he was also arrested for probation violation.
Connolly was transported to the Coos County Jail, booked and released.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.
