OSU Extension marks 100 years of service

The Oregon State University Extension Service is celebrating 100 years of service. As part of the year-long festivities, the Coos and Curry OSU Extension offices will host a Centennial Celebration at Pony Village Mall from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday, May 14, and 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Sunday, May 15.

The Master Gardener's Eighth Annual Tomato-Rama Plant Sale will take place too.

Centennial events include: hands-on activities, food demonstrations, historical photo display, a petting zoo, OSU mascot Benny Beaver and 4-H mascot Lucky Clover, plus face painting and drawings for prizes.

Grand prize is a Jerry's Jet Boats trip plus an ATV rental. For details, call 541-572-5263.
