COOS COUNTY — Some Lakeside residents are without 911 services right now.

In a press release from the Coos County Sheriff’s Office on Monday afternoon, the department reported that 911 services for Frontier customers are currently compromised.

“Frontier is working to fix this issue,” the release stated. “If you have an emergency, use a cell phone or a telephone that is through another carrier, such as Charter Communications.”

The Sheriff’s office is sending a dispatcher to Lakeside where Frontier can forward calls to them.

“This situation is what is called ‘community isolation,’ and has happened before when wire thefts have been committed,” the release said.
