NORTH BEND — Join the Oregon Oldtime Fiddlers for the third Saturday performance/jam March 17 at the Winchester Bay Community Center located at 635 Broadway. Since the event falls on St. Patrick’s Day there will be singing, playing some Irish tunes as well the usual Old Time Music.
The stage show will begin at 1 p.m. with a variety of musicians featured. Following the program on stage, a circle jam often follows beginning at 3 p.m. and ending at 4. Admission is free though donations are appreciated. Those who love old time music are invited to bring their stringed acoustic instrument if they want to play along. Be sure to wear green to avoid a leprechaun pinch. Cookies and coffee are served. All are welcome.
The Oregon Oldtime Fiddlers was founded in 1964 and is a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization. Their primary mission is to “promote, preserve and perpetuate Old Time Fiddling and Old Time Music.” Those who enjoy playing music or prefer to just listen can join for this fun filled afternoon of old time music.
