COOS BAY — The Coos Bay Downtown Association hosted the first Blackberry Arts Festival recipe contest this year. Contestants submitted culinary delights for the It's All Berry Good Recipe Contest Aug. 23 at Wednesday Market. While competition was stiff the finalists were named, Jenny Gumm for her vegan blackberry cheesecake tart and KanDee Shatney for her wild blackberry and rhubarb crisp. Join the Coos Bay Downtown Association at 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, at The Blackberry Arts Festival stage for the crowning of the winner.
