NORTH BEND — One of the biggest trends in the food world right now is the reinvention of the Food Truck.

These aren't the food trucks of yesteryear, serving microwaved burritos and coffee only the bravest souls could choke down.

No, these are full-on restaurants on wheels. And you can get a chance to sample the fare as 13 trucks from across the state will roll into The Mill Casino-Hotel for the Food Truck Off on Aug. 5-6.

The event will take place in the handicapped parking area (north of the casino). Entry is $5 (children 5 and under are free), with half the proceeds going to the Boys & Girls Club. There will be live music and a beer garden. The Young Bucs and Gabriel Cox are scheduled to play.
