David Edgerton and Bobbie Jo Tavernier, both of Coos Bay, were married Nov. 19, 2011, in Coos Bay at the Lighthouse Deliverance Temple in Coos Bay. The Rev. Ivan Sharp officiated.

The bride is a graduate of College of the Redwoods where she majored in early childhood development and received her associate degree in teaching. She is an associate teacher with South Coast Head Start in Coos Bay.

The groom is a graduate of Marshfield High School and is a greens keeper for Bandon Dunes.

Maid of honor was the daughter of the bride, Whitney Farrell of Eugene. Best man was the best friend of the groom, Lynn Bailey of North Bend. Coordinating the event was the best friend of the bride, Sharon Sharp-Howell. Terry Tavernier, brother of the bride, walked the bride down the aisle and gave her away.

The ceremony was informal. In the place of a wedding cake, pie was the couple’s choice. David wore a zoot suit and Bobbie a long, white, backless dress.
