Thomas and Constance Greene were married June 6, 1954, in Hermiston, Ore. They are now celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. Sixty years, someone deserves a medal! They will be providing cake at the Elk’s Lodge on June 6 at 6 p.m. for anyone who would like to come down and wish them well.
For 60 years they have been devoted to each other. Their devotion and commitment to each other has never been more clear than it is now as they care for each other in their golden years. Together they have braved everything life has given them. We should all be so lucky to have such devoted partners.
Thomas and Constance were an unlikely couple. They met on a 25 cent bet that Thomas would not ask Constance out on a date; he did, and she accepted. Shortly after their marriage ceremony, the couple moved to California to work and attend college. They moved to Coos Bay in 1997.
Thomas and Constance are members of the Elks. Constance enjoys reading, playing games and gardening. Tom enjoys fishing, hiking, reading and drinking beer.
